You cant seem to help but noticing that healthcare decisions seem more political than scientific. Here are some of my observations.
CDC Shortens Covid Quarantine Time by Half for Zero Scientific Reason
Here is a quote from the CDC’s December 27th press release.
“Given what we currently know about COVID-19 and the Omicron variant, CDC is shortening the recommended time for isolation from 10 days for people with COVID-19 to 5 days…” [for asymptomatic Covid positive individuals] (CDC)
What great scientific insight did the CDC discover to predicate this change? The CDC didn’t say. Why not? Because the CDC has decided to favor the intellectually flaccid Biden administration, which is struggling to play catch up regarding labor shortages in the health care and travel industries. At the same time, the CDC cannot admit that Covid requirements are being lowered because this would signal the end of a pandemic, a pandemic required for the current administration to survive another two years.
Fauci’s Nonsensical Advice: If you want to impliment domestic air travel vaccine mandates, you need to seriously consider them.
This week Dr. Fauci admitted that where a domestic air travel vaccine mandate would not help transmission rates of Covid, it might provide an “incentive” [read coersive infringement of individual rights] for those who have not received the vaccine. Here is how Dr. Fauci responds when asked about a vaccinne mandate for domestic flights. “When you make vaccinations a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated,” said Dr. Anthony Fauci in an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “If you want to do that with domestic flights, I think that’s something that seriously should be considered.” (CNBC) Notice how Fauci says this. He did not say “I support the domestic travel mandate.” Instead, Fauci says, “If you want to do this, I think you should seriously consider doing this.” In other words, he is offering unsolicited advice to the administration to consider such mandates “seriously” if they consider them at all.
Then, the walkback:
On MSNBC’s “The Reidout,”Dr. Fauci claimed that he did not recommend a vaccine mandate for domestic air travel. “I did not say that I support mandates on domestic flights. I said that is something that is on the table for consideration. I didn’t say I support it or didn’t support it.”
It is obvious that science, which attempts to maintain an air of independence objectivity, has been politicized in recent years.
Remember when Pfizer chose to announce the first Covid vaccine’s availability just one week after the 2020 presidential election?
Remember when a thousand physicians approved Black Lives Matter riots while forbidding all other outdoor gatherings?
Have you noticed that NO Covid treatments have been approved other than new, expensive treatments produced by the major pharmaceutical companies?
Where true science is indeed objective, the current intelligencia certainly does not appear to be very scientific. It is more political with a few scientific “sprinkles.” Perhaps the scientific community must maintain its position near the table of the sophisticated elite in order to receive any crumbs?
